Transition Events July 4th and 12th 2023

I am delighted to invite you and your child to two transition events at Harborne Academy. The first event is a ‘Welcome Evening’ which will be taking place at 5pm on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023. On this evening, there will be introductions from key members of staff, including myself, our SENDCo and the Year 7 pastoral team. The event will last one hour and will be an opportunity for you to meet our staff and learn more about the academy. If required, staff will also be available to support with administrative paperwork or tasks you may need to complete in order for your child to attend our academy.

During this evening, you will also have the opportunity to meet representatives from our uniform supplier, Clive Mark, for you to peruse, buy, or order the uniform required for your child. In our bid to be more ecologically and economically aware, we will also have a second-hand uniform stall available.  We are delighted to include a uniform discount voucher that can be used on this night and up until 31st July 2023.

The second event will be a ‘Transition Day’ and will take place from 9:30am to 2:30pm on Wednesday, July 12th, 2023.  On this day, your child will attend the academy for an opportunity to familiarise themself with the building and key members of staff prior to their arrival in September. Your child will be met at the entrance by a dedicated member of staff to ensure they feel comfortable and welcomed. We will also be ensuring every child is provided with lunch and refreshments on this day.

Further information about the academy day, curriculum and enrichment can be found on the academy’s website. We are also active on social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, where you’re able to ‘follow’ us. If you do have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us by emailing: admissions@harborneacademy.co.uk or phone us on 0121 464 2737.

Once again, on behalf of Harborne Academy, I would like to extend my warmest welcome to all our new students and their families. The team and I look forward to meeting you all.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Sarah Ross

Headteacher
