Overview and Ethos of SEND
Harborne Academy is an inclusive school that delivers High Quality Teaching by subject staff who have a keen awareness of a range of special educational needs, medical needs and disability. Parents/Carers are a vital part of our inclusive practice, and we always seek to work as a cohesive team. Our SEN team are proactive in working in the classroom and where appropriate in small groups and interventions to deliver tailored and bespoke support for our children. Harborne Academy offers a range of support programmes such as Lexia, Dynamo, Sparx, Physiotherapy, Lego Therapy sessions, 121 interventions, speech, language and literacy support. We also work with a range of external providers to support the work of the SEND team and enhance provision.
